LOL. There isn't one. I was just trying to cut back on as much as possible. It's one extra person I'm not going to need there on the day.

Shit man... I don't know what to say. I just downloaded your film again. It has almost exactly the same ending and there are a bunch of other familiarities.

All I can say is you were a bit more clever with the execution than I have been so far.

I give you my word (for what it's worth) that your short film was not even in my mind when I wrote that.

I don't know what to say... I'm gonna go with it now. Feel free to deem me unoriginal scum. I can handle to. All I can do is assure you none of that was intentional.

While it has the simple elements of a practical short film, it has absolutely no conflict. It may be too simple.

It may fetch a few laughs, I suppose, but I doubt it'll put a dent in the judges minds of the competition. Is it a competition - I apologize if it isn't, I didnt check out the link.

Honestly, I wish you the best - but I cant see this going very far. Conflict, man.

I agree with GWE, it doesn't really have much of a 'hook'. It's no different from a million short films i've seen before. I think a story like this would need some sort of gimmick to make it interesting to judges. For example, and this is just off the top of my head, it could all be shot in POV, or colour corrected so each shot is a different colour, I don't know. Something to make it a little more interesting.

I realise that you want something easy to shoot and easy to edit and this definately satisfies that criteria but if I was judging, depending on the other entries, I'd probably pass on this script.

You have obviously thought about how you would shoot so I'd be interested to know thoughts you have. It could bring a whole new dimension to it. However shallow that might be in the context of a short film. But some judges can be wow'ed by shooting style over substance.

The script seems pretty good! I'm not on board people saying its too shallow, super shorts is for films of 2 minutes and under so its just right! The British especially seem to have an overwhelming desire to make shorts, but to make them so "clever" and with structure that they read about in film-writing books. When reading the script I could see it visually and it kept me excited, and when a film is only 120 seconds long, it SHOULD be exciting, visually stunning and have a basic premise that can be aesthetically pleasing instantly. Silent movies are cool at that length definitely, it can help to engage an audience more as they add interpretations to it, as life is based around language etc. Anyway, thats my opinion, good luck, whoever wrote the script?

I've entered a short in this comp already!
It's called "The Shoot", and is a film I shot and edited a while ago... I've just got round to finishing the sound and score on it...

I sent it in about 3 weeks ago, before the Xmas post rush...

For those of you who are interested, I'll be screening it at G-MAC, 34 Albion St. in Glasgow on Wed 7th, 7:30pm onwards...

I've been doing some quick storyboards ready for the shoot tomorrow. To be honest they're not really there to show how I will frame a shot... More so I have a rough idea of the kind of shot I need to get.
